ABout Babestock
The story of Babestock began with an epiphany and call to action by our director, DJ Hip Stir. After studying various Big Fest™ lineups, she realized that 70%-90% of the names booked were those of white, cisgender men. The severe gender inequality and lack of diverse cultural representation found in the electronic music scene propelled her to bring forward a NEW way of doing things, centering POC, women, and gender-expansive artists. It took one girly to speak up and put her foot down, but the vision of creating a space where femmes and thems of diverse cultural identities can flourish is a shared core value amongst the BABE community. Babestock Music Festival has come into fruition through a collective effort FROM women and gender-expansive visionaries FOR women and gender-expansive artists and allies.
our Mission
Cultivate safety, freedom, and authenticity for FLINTA+ (female, lesbian, intersex, trans, agender+) DJs/producers and their supporters through a communal and inclusive music festival.
Supporting this mission means you are making history with us!
our VISION
We envision a future where electronic music lineups reflect the diversity of its audience. We are the antithesis to Big Fest™: a grassroots, community-oriented, diverse (in both represented identities and genres), intimate festival with creative, high-quality performances; a festival that is sustainable in every sense of the word and leaves everyone involved feeling inspired, joyful, and FREE.

From Our Founder
"After seeing most electronic festival lineups rocking 70-95% male lineups, I thought that was a shame and thought it would be cool to throw an electronic music festival with 100% women and gender-expansive artists on the lineup! Already we are seeing more and more interest from artists wanting to play the festival, people wanting to get involved, and more people wanting to attend. This is only our second year. So, I'm excited to see it grow!"
- Kelsea Pinkston, Founder of Babestock
Babestock recognizes that it was founded on the homeland of the Coahuiltecans, Tonkawa, Comanche, and Lipan Apache peoples. We acknowledge and pay respect to the Coahuiltecan, Tonkawa, Comanche, and Lipan Apache communities, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations. Babestock was founded upon the exclusions and erasures of Indigenous peoples, including those on whose land our festival is located. This acknowledgement demonstrates a commitment to continuing the process of working to dismantle the ongoing legacies of settler colonialism. We are moved into action by the need for liberation.
